Backchannel
I feel that secrets within a
group and clique-formation subvert group
cohesiveness. (So who cares about the cohesiveness of the 'group'-list? Yeah,
maybe that, too)
If this were group therapy (which
it isn't) private email might subvert the group process with "backchannel"
messages. But I've found private email to fellow list-members extremely valuable
on other lists.
FYI, 2 people wrote to me backchannel about this post, and to each other
apparently and perhaps others...
