A discussion began on the following question: if you strapped a slice of buttered bread to the back of a cat and dropped the combination from a height, how would it land. Humor is founded on trust. A friendship is dreary without good-natured ribbing, a recognition of each other's human frailties. Conversely, poking fun at a stranger is hostile.
Humour is founded on incongruities and strange juxtapositions. It doesn't have to be kind or good or fair.
